Simon Firth

After earning a degree in Quantity Surveying from Nottingham Trent University, Simon spent twelve years working for a major national main contractor. He then returned to the family business to lead the company forward, bringing the high-level financial rigour he had gained into Firth Construct. His expertise means he can provide accurate, open-book quotes and expert financial management to ensure every project runs efficiently and with no hidden costs for the client.

Joe Espin

Joe is Firth Construct’s on-site lead, as an expert Project Manager with a vast wealth of construction knowledge. With over fifteen years of industry experience including six years with a leading Main Contractor, Joe carefully oversees the daily craftsmanship of every project. With his experience in the industry, Joe ensures that even the most complex structural tasks are handled with care and precision.

We pride ourselves on our transparent, itemised quotation process which we will go through with you in detail. All fixed and provisional costs are clearly stipulated, so you’ll be aware of the pricing every step of the way, ensuring there are no surprises at the end of the project.
2How long will my project take to deliver?
We aim to provide clients with a detailed programme of works prior to the construction phase and have a fantastic track record of sticking to these timescales.
3I want an extension, where do I start?
We can handle the full process, from engaging with architects to arranging planning permission. Simply get in touch with us and we can begin the process.
4We need more room but don’t know what to do?
We are happy to come to you and assess your property, considering your situation and how to increase your space. The next step would be to provide you with an initial idea of costs, and then appoint an architect to deliver the designs and begin the planning process.
5What responsibilities do I have during the construction project?
We fully manage the construction work and health and safety throughout our projects, lessening the load of our clients and keeping the process as streamlined as possible.
6We’re going to be living in the property during the construction process, what impact will it have on me?
We’re extremely experienced carrying out renovations of properties while people are living in their homes, and all trades we use are considerate of noise, neighbours and leaving the property tidy at all times.
